Q: Is Reiki safe?
A: Reiki can do no harm and there have not been any reported dangers in undergoing Reiki treatments.
Q: Can Reiki cure illnesses?
A: Reiki can complement medical treatment but is not a replacement for medical treatment. Reiki aims to relax you, ease stress and tension and help with well-being.
Q: How often should I get Reiki treatments?
A: There is no set amount. Some people get one treatment, while others get regular treatments. Assess your personal needs and do what works for you.
Q: Is Reiki massage?
A: Reiki is not massage. Reiki aims to free up unbalanced energy flow in your body. Although a massage is more focused on applying pressure, Reiki typically uses a light touch or hands over the body.
Q: Are there side effects after receiving Reiki.
A: There are no significant side effects. Most people feel relaxed after Reiki and experience no side effects. Fatigue is the most commonly reported side effect for those who have experienced any side effects. Some people also experience what is called a healing crisis which can be due to the release of blocked energy and is a part of the healing process. When this happens, a person can get a headache, stomach ache and can feel weak for a few hours to a couple of days.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: I accept HSA (Health Savings Account) Cards. To use your HSA for Reiki, simply obtain a letter of medical necessity (LMN) from your health care provider for your diagnosed medical condition.
